This position is to work on site
Responsible for undertaking and executing day-to-day tasks relating to importing and exporting products in conjunction with Customs import/export regulations, Other Government Agency (OGA) regulations and routing guidelines.
Provide support as required in the areas of manufacture operations, cross-dock order processing, and logistics to minimize shipment execution delays and ensure billing accuracy against contracts and tariffs.
CUSTOMS
- Classifies and maintains product dictionary, ensuring that all items have accurate product descriptions, appropriate tariff classifications, country of origins, ECCNs, and preferential treatment based on regulatory requirements with minimal assistance from Management.
- Develop and manage on end-to-end trade compliance and other trade transaction process flows and documents.
LOGISTICS
- Perform and manage cross-dock shipments, including but not limited to:
- Identify inbound shipments and track delivery
- Review onforwarding requirements, coordinate order releases with Order Administration where transit time and carrier don’t align to ensure OTD
- Obtain and on forward documents as needed
Experiencia y requisitos
- 4 year college degree or a minimum of 4 years import/customs brokerage related work experience.
- 4 year shipping and transportation experience required.
- Minimum 4 year customer service experience required.
- Intermediate experience in MS Office Suite applications
- Working knowledge and understanding of ERP applications such as Oracle, SAP, etc.
- Advanced communication skills (written and spoken) English 90%
- Working knowledge and experience in import processes, customs brokerage functions and international logistics process required.
- Proficient knowledge and understanding of Export Administration requirements (ECCN) rules and regulations to classify goods for export.
- Knowledge and understanding of duty deferment schemas.
- Ability to operate a computer, perform tasks in MS Office applications, develop and present reports/charts in Excel as needed.
