Manufacturing Engineering Manager

Summary:

Coordinate the engineering functions that carry out product analysis for the satisfaction of our customers, maximizing operational efficiency and minimizing production costs.

Essential obligations and responsibilities:

• Technical authority for the installation, responsible for the manufacturing method and compliance with the specifications.
• Ensure that manufacturing processes and/or manufacturing methods within the facility are capable of meeting and continuing to meet quality, cost, delivery rate, and lead-time requirements.
• Act as the lead technical expert in presenting and discussing products and solutions for the business unit and/or customers.
• Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods while anticipating and reacting to emerging business needs.
• Develop, implement, and maintain process standardization throughout the facility.
• Standardize equipment and coating materials used in thermal spray operations.
• Lead and oversee cross-functional projects and initiatives.
• Lead and develop the engineering department, creating a culture of empowerment.
• Recommend changes to working conditions and equipment to increase efficiency. Work with CI to implement recommended changes and improve efficiency.
• Promote continuous improvement initiatives.
• Evaluate, analyze, and report to management on the status of manufacturing systems and propose corrective actions to support operational needs.
• Create and communicate internal customer-related documents, including FMEA process and design, control plans, process flow diagrams, R&R measures, etc.
