Descripción y detalle de las actividades
- Responsible for new tooling activities: quotation, design verification (mold flow), qualification and release.
- Establishing new molding processes (knowledge of material properties) for all new tooling applications. Complete formal process release studies with applicable capability studies.
- Manage new tooling and molding process schedules and critical path timing.
- Must be able to complete tasks to set up tooling in an injection molding machine
- Must be familiar with auxiliary equipment related to setting up injection molding machines
- Coordinate all Engineering Change Request (ECR) activities.
- Monitor mold tooling uptime and coordinate new PM activities.
- Assists with documents for molding related operations (process flow charts, PFMEA, work instructions, etc.).
- Support root cause analysis for all corrective action associated with injection molding.
- Individuals directed by management to operate a vehicle for work purposes will observe the requirements of the Fleet Safety Program.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Support, promote, and perform in a manner consistent with continuous improvement goals and the values of SSI Technologies, Inc. which includes following the policies, procedures, and requirements of our Quality Management and IS0 14001 Environmental Management Systems.
- All other duties as assigned by your supervisor.
Experiencia y requisitos
- Bachelor's Degree in a technical field
- 3 - 5 year of experience in a molding environment
- Previous experience using statistical methods and Statistical software (familiar with DOE’s)
- CAD Experience (3D models and 2D prints)
- Strong computer skills; including Microsoft Word and Excel
- Familiarity with injection molding equipment
- Injection molding process experience
- A good business person, with a solid grasp of finance.
- Data driven mindset in identifying and prioritizing opportunities and issues.
- Energetic and self-driven professional, with a high degree of customer focus.
- Excellent communication skills, both internally and externally.
- Strong analytical skills, strategic as well as tactical thinking ability, and problem-solving capacity.
