Overview of Role:
We are seeking a Production Supervisor with strong experience in Kanban-based operations to oversee and drive daily performance on the production floor. This role will ensure workflow efficiency, on-time delivery, and adherence to quality and safety standards while working closely with Team Leaders and cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will bring a hands-on leadership style and a deep understanding of lean manufacturing principles.
What you will do:
- Ensure the efficient day-to-day operation of Kanban-controlled production areas.
- Supervise Team Leaders and Production Operators to meet safety, quality, productivity, and continuous improvement targets.
- Manage production flow, inventory signals, and replenishment within the Kanban system.
- Communicate with internal departments to ensure production schedules are aligned and met.
- Conduct regular 1:1s and performance reviews, providing structured feedback and coaching to Team Leaders.
- Address performance and behavior issues professionally and constructively.
- Implement countermeasures for issues impacting safety, quality, or productivity.
- Support the continuous improvement of Kanban boards, visual controls, and production signals.
Experiencia y requisitos
What we need from you:
- Proven experience in a manufacturing supervisor role, preferably in a Kanban or lean environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Experience managing performance and delivering results through teams
- Ability to stay calm under pressure, multitask, and meet deadlines
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and production-related systems
- Knowledge of lean tools and continuous improvement methodologies
- Strong work ethic, organization, and leadership skills
- Ability to drive accountability and foster a culture of ownership on the floor
