SMT Jr. Engineer

Responsible to design, validate and implement manufacturing systems; including process documentation, control and optimization through the life of the product. An Engineer seeks and promotes the continuous improvement of the manufacturing processes on current and transfers businesses.

1-  Create and maintain necessary documentation for SMT processes, including formats, procedures, checklists, and work instructions.

2-  Provide direct support to production areas, assisting in troubleshooting and resolving issues as they arise.

3-  Assist in coordinating and implementing continuous improvement initiatives such as 5S, Kaizen, and Root Cause Analysis.

4-  Support the coordination and implementation of maintenance and calibration activities for SMT equipment.

5- Assist in conducting capacity studies and validations of SMT equipment to ensure optimal performance.

6-  Provide support in the implementation of engineering changes (MCOs) to improve manufacturing processes.

7-  Place and track requisitions through the SAP system to ensure timely procurement of materials and tools.

8-  Assist in training operational and technical personnel in SMT processes and equipment usage.

9-  Ensure compliance with operational procedures and standards within the SMT area.

10-  Participate in the fabrication and evaluation of fixtures for the manufacturing of electronic assemblies and components.

11-  Validate Bill of Materials (BOM) and process routes to ensure accuracy and efficiency in production.

12-  Routing management in the ERP system (SAP), Participate during layout changes.
