Production Manager

A production manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and controlling the manufacturing process in a factory. They work with a production team to ensure that products are delivered on time and within budget. 

Responsibilities

• Production scheduling: Plan and organize production schedules 
• Quality assurance: Ensure that quality control standards are met 
• Health and safety: Ensure that health and safety regulations are met 
• Cost management and budgeting: Estimate, negotiate, and agree budgets and timescales with clients and managers 
• Communication: Explain corporate goals and aims to their team members 
• Overseeing production processes: Oversee production processes and renegotiate timescales or schedules as necessary 
• Selecting materials: Select, order, and purchase materials 
• Equipment maintenance: Organize the repair and routine maintenance of production equipment 
• Training: Organize relevant training sessions 
• Reporting: Prepare reports on their activities and present them to upper management
