- Establish strategic plans and procedures at all levels to ensure that the quality system meets and exceeds quality expectations, making a successful performance team focused on Quality.
- Participation in the application of methodologies such as: Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing concepts, Continuous Improvement Techniques and/or Methodologies that contribute to cost saving projects.
- Integrally follow up on the progress and results of quality indicators: IPPM, PPM,SCRAP, COQ and FTT.
- Drive quality at source and self-inspection process to complement production systems.
- Leads and drives zero defect culture throughout the organization through training and continuous communication.
- Responsible for leading the team in charge and maintaining effective communication.
- Implement the appropriate environment and mechanisms necessary to stimulate the continuous search for improvement ideas to be implemented.
- Responsible for coordinating the management of quality systems in the different areas.
- Responsible for presenting results to senior management, demonstrating leadership and expertise in the area.
- Supervisory responsabilities; quality inspectors team.
Experiencia y requisitos
• Industrial Engineer, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Engineering, Logistics or similar with +5 years of experience in quality area.
• Communication and presentation skills.
• Leadership and project management skills, demonstrating interpersonal skills and ability to exert influence without authority.
• Can be seen in a short to medium term as a "high potential" or successor for the next position.
• Strong knowledge of quality process planning and control methodologies.
• Knowledge and understanding of statistical techniques for quality control, data analysis and decision making.
• Knowledge and experience of quality tools, control plans, SPC, FMEA, DOE, QFD, 6-sigma.
• Knowledge of COQ (cost of quality) and how it relates to trouble shooting.
• Understanding of quality management systems such as ISO9000 (ISO / QS requirements).
• Shows initiative, desire to quickly drive change and motivated to exceed expectations.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and experience with a formal troubleshooting methodology (KT-PSDM, 8D or equivalent).
