SMT Process Engineer

Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (ex. Chemical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering) completed required. Minimum 5 years’ experience in Surface Mount Technology Process or related Assembly. Availability to travel to the United States (VISA) IPC-A-610, JEDEC, ISO and related standard knowledge preferred. Minimum 2-3 years electronic engineering experience required, preferably in a contract manufacturing environment and/or EMS industry. Proven and demonstrated experience in Surface Mount Technology (SMT) assembly, with a strong understanding of SMT processes and equipment, and technical background in SMT. Proficiency in programming and operating SMT placement machines, soldering equipment, and related tools. Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues quickly and effectively. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies is a plus. Certification in SMT assembly or related fields is desirable. Equipment knowledge of Panasonic, ASYS/Ersa Printers and BTU Reflow Ovens preferred. Excellent profiling skills with experience with ECD, CAM350 and EPM products Experienced in Statistical control implementation Effective problem solving and organizational skills Effective technical communication skills (written and verbal) Strong interpersonal skills and organization skills with the ability to work within a team environment Demonstrate attention to detail and quality. Strong understanding and command of English and Spanish languages, preferably bilingual, strongly recommended for success in this position.
